Ukraine's meat products rise 2.3% in December

Meat processing enterprises in Ukraine raised output of meat and by-products of the first category by 2.3% or 2,076 tonnes to 92,013 tonnes in December 2010, compared with the previous month.

In December 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 6.2% or 5,399 tonnes, compared with December 2009.

In 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 6.3% or 59,236 tonnes, compared with 2009, to 999,507 tonnes.

Earlier in November, meat processing enterprises boosted production of meat and by-products of the first category by 2.8% or 2,486 tonnes to 89,937 tonnes, compared with October.

In 2009, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 0.2% or 1,560 tonnes, compared with 2008, to 920,512 tonnes.

In 2008 production of meat and by-products of the first category made up 918,952 tonnes.
