China Threonine: Prices soar to three year highs (week ended Jan 25, 2021)
 

 

With supplies tight and the costs of production rising relentlessly, prices of threonine climbed to three year highs. Overseas and local buyers eagerly placed orders amid fears that output disruptions, soaring freight charges and rising corn costs will send prices higher.

 

Transacted prices of imported products were higher at RMB14/kg.

 

Corn prices are set to stay high with production expenses climbing and output limited, hence holding up threonine prices.
