1.3 million chickens to be culled at Sweden's biggest egg producer due to bird flu

 
 

Sweden's Board of Agriculture said 1.3 million chickens will be culled at Sweden's biggest egg producer in Monsteras town after the H5N5 variant of bird flu was detected there, Reuters reported.

 

The Board of Agriculture said a large portion of the animals, around 1.3 million chickens, would have to be culled and destroyed after the virus spread within the facility.
