China Tryptophan: Prices climb to 2018 levels (week ended Jan 25, 2021)

 
 

Rising costs of corn continued to lift the prices of tryptophan while producers attempted to sustain profit margins. Sales remained robust as the consumption of high quality feeds expanded with sow and piglet population growing. Prices have surged to levels unseen since April 2018.

 

Transacted prices of local products increased to the range of RMB63.70-65/kgS.
