Cultivated meat commercialization specialist IntegriCulture raises US$7 million

Japan-based cultivated meat commercialisation specialist IntegriCulture has raised US$7 million in a Series A-plus funding, which it will use for the development of affordable growth media and other tech solutions for the cellular agriculture industry, Vegconomist reported.

The company is developing new cellular agriculture tech to lower costs for emerging cultivated meat companies, which could potentially be used by end consumers. The company has received US$16.4 million in total funding to date.

IntegriCulture's CulNet System is a universally accessible platform that allows commercial enterprises to enter the cultivated meat production industry.

IntegriCulture has previously collaborated with Shiok Meat to upscale their cultivated line, and aims to launch its first consumer food product, cultivated foie gras, this year.
