France may lose overseas milling wheat markets

According to market data, France faces loss of its selling markets of milling wheat in the Middle East and North Africa.

Decreasing of the level of protein content in the French grain may affect the trend development, and during several recent years, the index totals 11.4%. At the same time, the countries-importers require that the protein content of wheat to be not less than 11.5%.

The situation may benefit Russian exporters of milling wheat. The protein content of grains from Russia totals 12%, which is a very attractive factor for buyers of these products.
