Ukraine to cease dairy imports from Belarus companies
The State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine has suspend dairy imports from Belarus' OJSC Babushkina Krynka and OJSC Dairy Products, from January 21 and January 23, respectively.
According to the service's report, the measures were taken as the products of the said companies are not line with Ukrainian safety requirements in the microbiological and physical-chemical indicators.
The service did not disclose the concrete parameters that were not observed.
The service said that cargo arrived to Ukraine before the ban is to be registered after the enhanced veterinary control.
As reported, Ukraine banned imports of dairy products from Belarus in March 2012 as the large amount of antibiotics was revealed.
