Pakistani seafood exports drop 11%

 

 

Pakistan's fish and fish preparations exports during the first half of the current fiscal year declined by 11%, as against exports of the corresponding period last year.

 

According to Federal Bureau of Statistics, exports during July-December 2009-10 were recorded at US$97.81 million as against the exports worth US$110.25 million recorded during July-December 2008-09.

 

During December 2009, fish exports fell by 25.72% as compared to that of November 2009. Exports during the month under review were recorded at US$16.47 million against the exports of 22.18 million recorded during November 2009, the figures revealed. As compared to the exports of US$17.87 million recorded during December 2008, fish exports during December 2009 declined by 7.85%.
