US soy exports down 27% in 2011-12 marketing year
As China and other buyers cut back purchases on global economic slowdown, US soy exports for 2011-12 marketing year had lagged 27%, USDA reported.
According to the USDA's weekly export summary the foreign sale for the week ending January 2012 rose to about 95% from the previous four week average.
Meanwhile the corn exports were lower to 15.3 million tonnes since September 1 compared to 15.6 million tonnes the year before.
