Cargill closes Humboldt grain facility in Canada
Cargill Ltd. announced plans to close its grain operations in Humboldt, Saskatchewan at the end of the month.
Cargill assured that it will continue its existing operations in Clavet, Saskatchewan to provide a seamless transition in supporting the needs of the local farms.
Blaine Duncan, manager of Cargill's Prairieland farm service group, said in a release that the decision for Humboldt came after serious consideration as to how to best provide Canadian farmers with the diverse and timely services and products they need in their businesses.
