China broiler market: Pre-Chinese New Year preparation strengthens market

December broiler releases in China expanded by 1.66% or 19.78 million birds, from 1,192.05 million to 1,211.83 million birds.

Broiler replenishment volume totalled 1,238.32 million head, increasing by 9.61% or 108.56 million birds compared with November's 1,129.76 million birds.

AA broiler prices averaged ¥7.68/kg (US$1.07) in December, higher by 4.49% or ¥0.33/kg (US$0.05) from November's ¥7.35/kg (US$1.02). Compared to a year ago, they cost 0.39% less than December 2024's ¥7.71/kg (US$1.07).
