Shanghai Bright Dairy announces milk prices to climb 11-15 percent

Shanghai Bright Dairy And Food announced on January 20 that milk prices will increase by 11-15 percent next month on growing costs.

In 2007, raw milk purchase price surged five times, with the rate of increase nearing 50 percent.

Furthermore, China's commodity price hikes also triggered increases in cost of energy, water, electricity, coal, transportation and labor.

Bright Dairy confirmed it will not raise the fresh milk price before the Spring Festival.
