AB Vista to showcase fiber-focused strategies for monogastric gut health at IPPE

AB Vista will unveil fiber-focused strategies to promote gut health in monogastrics, at the upcoming International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 2024 held in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States.
The company's feed intelligence team will demonstrate the benefits of improving fiber fermentation as a strategy to unlock the full potential of fiber in poultry nutrition, including tools to apply the concept in the field.
IPPE takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center. As a pre-show warm-up, AB Vista will host its traditional cocktail reception at the Omni Hotel, in International Ballroom AB, North Tower M2, on January 29 at 5pm-8pm.
Visitors to AB Vista's IPPE booth can expect to learn more about how the fiber concept has evolved over the years, and how the company's technical expertise and tools can support the industry further when it comes to fiber applications to enhance poultry productivity.
Topics will include:
- Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR) Service, which enables producers to predict the nutritional components of feed quickly, accurately and in real-time to optimise diet formulation;
- Fiber Reference Guide, which sets out the benefits of moving from conventional fiber methods to total dietary fiber analysis using NIR technology;
- Feed Fiber Calculator, an online tool to assist nutritionists as they formulate animal diets, by calculating the dietary fiber content of finished animal feed, based on global averages from AB Vista's comprehensive in-house database.
AB Vista technical and R&D teams will also be presenting the latest research on fiber during the International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF) and throughout the trade show.
Global poultry technical manager Dr Xavière Rousseau will share findings on "Feed fiber profile and the use of stimbiotics influence broiler productivity and hindgut fermentation" at IPSF on January 30, in Room B314, at 9am. Research manager Dr. Gemma Gonzales Ortiz will present on "Mortality in broiler chickens as a result of feeding a stimbiotic", on the same day, in Room B311, at 10.45am.
Alexandre Barbosa de Brito, AB Vista's LATAM technical manager, will deliver a TECHTalk on "Utilising Dietary Fiber for Optimal Performance" on February 1, in Hall A, Booth A244, at 10.30am. The talk will cover advancements in the understanding of fiber, the impact it has on poultry performance and tools that can be used in day-to-day formulations to monitor and utilise fiber for optimal results.
AB Vista will be located in Hall A, Booth A651.
