EU authorises Nutriad's TOXY-NIL®, UNIKE® brands in reducing Aflatoxin contamination

Nutriad's TOXY-NIL® and UNIKE® brands contain bentonite, which has the potential to reduce the contamination by aflatoxin B1 of poultry, pig and ruminant feeds, has met the requirements of the European Union Reference Laboratory (EURL) on aflatoxin-binding capability.

This brings Nutriad into line with the latest legal recognition of scientific claims on mycotoxin deactivation.

Mycotoxin specialist Olga Averkieva commented: "This supports the long lasting and continued efforts of Nutriad International in the search for effective solutions against this permanent, mostly hidden threat. Aflatoxin B1 presence in ingredients should to be a point of attention for everybody involved in the food/feed chain, as recently evidenced by aflatoxin B1 contamination incidents in the Netherlands and other countries."

Nutriad International, headquartered in Belgium, delivers products and services to over 80 countries worldwide through a network of own sales offices and distributors. It is a significant player in the feed additives market of mycotoxin management (TOXY-NIL® and UNIKE® brands), of flavour and sweeteners and markets a superior range of digestive performance enhancers, including the precision delivery ADIMIX brand.
