The Andersons appoints new president for Grain Group

 
 


 

The Andersons, Inc. has announced the appointment of Corbett J. Jorgenson as the new President of the company's Grain Group.

 

Replacing Neill C. McKinstray, who has served as President of both the Grains and Ethanol groups and retires in July, Jorgenson's appointment will be effective from February 1 onwards.

 

For now, McKinstray will continue his function as President of the Ethanol Group to provide assistance for the Grain Group.

 

Jorgenson has close to two decades of experience in general management, agricultural trading and risk management with Cargill, Inc.

 

Most recently, he was the Vice President and Regional Lead for the Americas with Cargill Transportation and Logistics.

 

From February 2009 to May 2015, Jorgenson served as Commercial Lead, Vice President and Senior Vice President for Cargill AgHorizons (US) which includes a core grain segment, a retail seed, fertiliser and crop protection segment, and a significant value-added segment that encompasses a suite of risk management tools for farm customers and an advisory service.

 

Additionally, he has worked in multiple trading and general management roles in the grain and oilseed supply chain businesses in Kansas, Georgia, North Carolina and China.

 

Jorgenson holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with an emphasis in Finance from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, US.

 

He also completed Harvard Business School's Asia Agribusiness Executive Education Series in Shanghai, China.
