During and after New Year holidays, demand for calcium phosphate weakened as falling broiler prices prompted feed producers to limit output. Although major producers stood firm, smaller ones negotiated prices in a bid to move sales.
In Yunnan, delivery price quotes of monocalcium strengthened slightly to RMB2,680/tonne during early January, but slid back to RMB2,650/tonne within days.
As poultry feed producers limit production while piglet feed consumption stays weak, calcium phosphate sales are unlikely to be strong in the coming period.
