Ukraine reaps bountiful rapeseed, soy in 2010

Ukraine's agrarians gathered 1.5 million tonnes of rapeseed and 1.7 million tonnes of soy in 2010, the State Statistics Service reports.

Rapeseed was harvested on 862,600 hectares to reach 1,469,700 tonnes whereas soy was gathered on 1,036,800 hectares to yield 1,680,100 tonnes.

Earlier, the Ukroilprom industry association expects facilitating export of oil-bearing crops due to quoting export of grain crops.

Soy export is predicted at 800,000 tonnes in the 2010/2011 marketing year (September 2010 - August 2011).
