Uruguay To Unlock Mexican Beef Market

Uruguay is keen to open up the Mexican market for its beef exports. The Uruguayan president is set to visit Mexico this month for a summit meeting with the topic of beef exports high on the agenda.

The Uruguayan delegation is hopeful that the ban on US beef entering Mexico on BSE grounds may create a window of opportunity for Uruguayan beef.  A recent sanitary mission to Uruguay was reportedly pleased with the Uruguayan situation.
