China Lysine: Prices stable to lower (week ended Jan 16, 2023)

Weak prices of soymeal continued to curtail the sales of lysine in China. Producers who were keen to clear stocks before the festive holidays negotiated prices slightly.
Transacted prices of 98.5-percent lysine in China remained in the range of RMB7.96-8.80/kg while those of 70-percent lysine dipped to the range of RMB5.30-5.69/kg.
Export prices of 70-percent lysine were at US$0.78/kg while those of 98.5-percent varieties remained at US$1.17/kg.
Cautious mood of feed producers will impede the sales of lysine, together with sliding soymeal cut prices after the Chinese New Year holidays.al costs. Lysine producers are likely to cut prices further.
