FrieslandCampina appoints new CFO

FrieslandCampina has appointed Hans Janssen as the dairy cooperative's chief financial officer who will take over the position from  Jaska de Bakker on May 1.

De Bakker has decided to leave the company in the summer of 2021 to pursue a portfolio of non-executive directorships.

Janssen joins FrieslandCampina from building and infrastructure company Heijmans where he has been CFO since 2017. He was previously CFO at medical care company Mediq for nine years.

De Bakker joined FrieslandCampina in January 2017 as finance director of business group Consumer Products Asia.

In January 2018, she moved to the company's head office in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, to become group CFO and member of the executive board.

"We are very grateful for Jaska's commitment and impact on the company over the past four years. Jaska has been instrumental in defining our strategy and transforming FrieslandCampina into a more resilient company," said Frans Keurentjes, chairman of the supervisory board of Royal FrieslandCampina.

"She has also built strong finance and IT functions, has driven digital transformation and data analytics and with that, has fostered a culture of transparency and fact-based decision making. On behalf of the supervisory board and member farmers, I want to thank Jaska for her dedication and many contributions to the company. We wish her every success in the future."
