DSM appoints Sara Hough as technical services manager for North America

DSM Animal Nutrition and Health has announced the appointment of Sara Hough, a doctor of veterinary medicine, as regional technical services manager, joining the company's North America swine technical services team.

In her position, Hough provides field technical support and assists with research opportunities in swine health and nutrition.

"Dr. Hough brings additional expertise to our team that will allow us to continue to strengthen the support and services we provide swine producers", said Dr. April Levy, regional technical services director.

"While we know a solid nutrition programme is the cornerstone for healthy pigs, we will continue to explore how vitamins and micronutrients benefit productivity and lifetime performance."

Before joining DSM, Hough spent eight years as a swine production veterinarian at Prestage Farms, the fifth-largest pork producer in the US, where she was responsible for the health and welfare of the pigs in the Prestage system.

Hough earned her veterinary medicine degree from North Carolina State University and was chosen one of its Outstanding Young Alumni awardees last year.
