Egypt GASC Buys 295,000 Tons US, French, Argentine Wheat

Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities, or GASC, in its tender Saturday bought 295,000 metric tons of U.S., French and Argentine wheat on a free on board basis for Feb. 16-28 shipment.

A breakdown of the GASC tender given by the Under Secretary for Imports Saeed Hifny follows:

Nidera

2 x 60,000 tons French wheat at $139/ton FOB

United Harvest

60,000 tons U.S. Soft White wheat at $142.47/ton FOB

Louis Dreyfus

55,000 tons Argentine wheat at an undisclosed price

Toepfer

60,000 tons Argentine wheat at an undisclosed price
