Spain's pork production dropped in first nine months of 2022

Spain's pork production in the first nine months of 2022 was 1.78% below the same period of 2021.

Following several years of continuous growth, pork production in the country reached 3,755,670 tonnes during the period of January-September 2022, representing a 1.78% drop compared to the same period of the previous year, when 3,810,670 tonnes were produced.

Following record production figures in January, February and March — with production exceeding 450,000 tonnes per month — and the trend of the final months of 2021, production fell to 350,000 tonnes in July before recovering slightly in August and September.
