Norwegian-based Marine Harvest, the world's biggest seafood producer, said on Thursday (Jan 15) total harvest volumes in the fourth quarter reached 90,000 tonnes, against its own expectations of 82,000 tonnes.

Marine Harvest will present its fourth quarter figures on February 4.

Marine Harvest also said that it would fulfil its obligations under a forward contract relating to shares in Norwegian Aker Seafoods, and consequently will hold 11.9 percent of the shares in the company.
