Hong Kong resumes imports of Thai poultry
Hong Kong's Centre for Food Safety has resumed processing applications for importing poultry and poultry products from Thailand.
All Thai poultry products will be allowed, except those from the central west part of Thailand.
The decision was made in view of the control measures taken by Thailand and that no further cases of bird flu have been reported.
The centre suspended the processing of applications following confirmation of an outbreak of bird flu H5N1 on a poultry farm in Thailand in November.
Hong Kong is monitoring the situation in the central west part of Thailand and restrictions on imports from the area will remain for now.
