Indonesia Bans Poultry Imports Amid Bird Flu Concerns

Indonesia has announced ban of poultry imports from bird flu affected regions in Asia.

The ban applies to imports of poultry as well as products containing poultry from Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, where at least 13 people have died from the bird flu.

However it is not known whether the Indonesian ban extends to Taiwan, which yesterday joined a growing list of Asian countries battling simultaneous outbreaks of bird flu.
