Denmark's pork exports rise
Denmark exported nearly 2% more pork in the first nine months of 2014 year-on-year.
Danish exports of fresh and frozen pork rose 1.9% year-on-year to reach 828,000 tonnes.
The German meat association, VDF, stressed this was despite the Russian ban on imports of pork.
Deliveries to Germany, the top destination for Danish meat, were 3.1% higher at 262,000 tonnes. Second-placed Poland took 11.1% less than the previous year at 91,800 tonnes but the United Kingdom took 13.4% more for a total of 81,000 tonnes.
Increased exports were also seen to Japan (108,500 tonnes: +27%), Australia (38,700 tonnes: +53.6%) and China (+5%).
