ForFarmers reports compound feed sales growth in 2007

ForFarmers, compound feed producer from the Netherlands, said that 2007 was an excellent year as sales of compound feed increased from 800,000 tonnes to 2.3 million tonnes.

The reason for the company's sales growth of over 50 percent is attributed to the acquisition of BELA in Germany in 2006 and BMG in 2007.

The expansion was brought about by 80 percent expansion and 20 percent autonomous growth.

The company's turnover jumped by 77 percent, from EUR331 million (US$492 million) to EUR586 million (US$871 million).

ForFarmers, which has around 600 employees, operates around North West Europe. Its main activities include the sales of animal feed and agricultural products.
