Aller Aqua continues to support African Chapter of World Aquaculture Society
Fish feed producer Aller Aqua, a founding gold sponsor of the African Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (WASAC), announced that it has renewed its sponsorship for another three years.
"The aquaculture sector continues to grow in Africa, and there is still a great deal of unrealised potential. It is an exciting continent and we are proud to take part in driving the development here through the feeding solutions we deliver," Ole Haubro, Aller Aqua's sales director (Africa), said.
"We want to help develop the market through expanding aquaculture. We want to train farmers and share knowledge. Together with WASAC, we can reach more farmers and be more visible on this continent. We have had great cooperation for the past three years, and we are therefore excited to sign as gold sponsors of the African Chapter for yet another three years. It also shows our dedication to the continent."
Aller Aqua has remained dedicated to the African market for many years and has a factory in Zambia and Egypt each.
Egypt will be the host country of the first Aquaculture Africa (AFRAQ) conference that is rescheduled for March 2022.
Hussien Mansour, the chief executive officer of Aller Aqua Egypt, said: "It has been a great pleasure that the first AFRAQ is hosted in Egypt, which has the largest aquaculture industry in Africa. We can see the benefits of supporting the African Chapter of WAS in terms of sharing knowledge and research in Africa. It benefits the entire value chain locally in Egypt, but also in all of Africa.
"We invite you to visit us at the upcoming AFRAQ in Alexandria in March to learn more about us, our feeding solutions and how we contribute to the development of the aquaculture sector across the continent."
