South Africa imports yellow corn from Romania
 

 

In the beginning of 2012, Romania exported 14,248 tonnes of yellow corn to South Africa, the South African Grain Information Service (SAGIS) said.

 

The corn was imported in the week from December 31-January 6, SAGIS said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 11).

 

The Romanian agriculture ministry said earlier the country's corn crop rose 26% in 2011 to 11.4 million tonnes, short of earlier estimates.
