Taiwan Buys 47,000 MT US Soybeans From Mitsui

 

Taiwan's Breakfast Soybean Procurement Association's Kaohsiung branch bought 47,000 metric tons of U.S. No. 2 soybeans in a tender Tuesday, said an association official.

 

Mitsui was the supplier at a cost-and-freight premium of 179 U.S. cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade's May soybean contract, he said.

 

Shipment dates will be Feb. 19 to March 2 from the U.S. Gulf, or March 3- 17 from the Pacific Northwest, seller's option, he said.

 

Dec. 30, BSPA Kaohsiung bought 46,500 tons of U.S. No. 2 soybeans in a tender from Louis Dreyfus, at a C&F premium of 179 U.S. cents/bu to CBOT May. Shipment dates will be Feb. 16 to March 1 from the Pacific Northwest.
