Japfa Vietnam appoints new general director

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Japfa Vietnam) has announced the appointment of Clemens Tan as the new general director of the company, effective from January 1, 2024.

In his new role, Tan will formulate strategies for Japfa's livestock feed production, breeding, farms and food industry activities in Vietnam, aiming for sustainable development. He stated that Japfa aims to optimise operational efficiency, cost optimisation and build a flexible and responsive business model.

"In the long term, we will focus on applying advanced production technologies, creating a cohesive work environment and aiming for shared prosperity for the community where Japfa Vietnam operates," he said.

Tan joined Japfa in 2020 as the regional commercial director for South Asia and Indochina, overseeing the development of markets in Vietnam, India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.

At Japfa Vietnam, he led the implementation of key programmes such as business model development, overall resource management for the pig farming industry and the Sales Effectiveness project for the sales team to optimise business operations, providing the best experience for customers.
