Danish pig farms struck by AH1N1
Pigs at two Zealand-based pig farms in Denmark have been found to be infected with the AH1N1 virus.
The pig farms in question have been put under quarantine, but the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries estimates that the risk of a new epidemic among pigs or humans is low.
Since its first outbreak in April, AH1N1 has spread and caused numerous deaths in thirteen countries. The virus was originally known as "swine flu" before it was renamed to dispel any links with pigs.
