Ukraine's Pershe Travnia 2006 egg output up 37.4 percent
Ukrainian poultry farm and animal feed producer Pershe Travnia reported a 37.4 percent on-year rise in output to 199.1 million eggs for 2006.
The company increased feed production more than 30 percent to 56,699 tonnes in 2006 compared to the previous year.
Output growth was driven by facility improvements and increase in capacity, the producer said.
Pershe Travnia based in the Cherkasy region, central Ukraine, contributes 3 percent of the country's annual egg output. The company's assets include three hectares of agricultural land used for cultivating crops for feedstock in Pershe Travnia's mixed animal feed production.
