Philippines lifts ban on live US breeder cattle
The Philippines has lifted its ban on live breeder cattle from the US, the USDA announced Wednesday.
The Philippines eased its ban on US beef in August of 2005, but USDA officials have been negotiating for the country to also remove restrictions on live breeder cattle, USDA said.
The Philippines was just one of many countries that banned US beef in December 2003 after the US discovered the first case of mad-cow disease.
