New advisory by China calls on Philippine aquaculture producers to renew registration

The Import and Export Food Safety Bureau of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) has issued an advisory to Philippine aquaculture producers, urging them to renew their registrations.
The appeal comes at a time when many of these registrations are either expired or on the brink of expiration. The GACC mandates overseas food exporters to China to seek renewal of their registrations three to six months before they lapse.
Non-compliance with this requirement or failure to provide a written explanation for late renewal could lead to the deregistration of the companies. This move, according to the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc., imposes an additional burden on the exporters. They must now juggle the demands of maintaining their business operations while ensuring they adhere to these new regulatory requirements.
Philippine aquaculture companies looking to renew their GACC registration must liaise with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
