Cargill's subsidiary to build four ethanol plants in the US

 

 

US agribusiness giant Cargill Inc plans to expand ethanol production in the US through its subsidiary Emerald Renewable Energy LLC.

 

The company said on Monday, Jan 8 that its subsidiary would build four 100-million-gallon-per-year ethanol plants in the US Midwest.

 

The new subsidiary is now on the lookout for potential sites in the Midwest corn-belt.

 

Emerald is a privately held, limited liability company formed by Cargill to develop and invest in renewable energy projects in the US. Cargill would provide the initial capital for the projects.
