Nor-Feed introduces mobile app for evaluating heat stress in animals
Nor-Feed has launched "Stop Heat", a mobile application that evaluates the level of heat stress in farm animals, thus providing support for the implementation of best strategies in livestock management, nutrition and antioxidant intake.
The mobile application, now available on iOS and Android, was presented during the French Tech Congress in Vietnam last year.
According to Nor-Feed, heat stress is responsible for oxidative stress, a rupture of the oxidative balance which causes irreversible consequences on animal health and performance.
"The Stop Heat application allows one to diagnose the level of heat stress of the animal based on breeding criteria identified by the nutritionist or veterinarian, and makes recommendations in terms of overall livestock management, optimisation of nutrition and antioxidant intake," said Paul Coquelin, area manager of the Vietnamese branch of Nor-Feed.
