Firm export demand fails to strengthen China lysine market

Lysine prices moved lower during the week ending January 7.

Lysine market weakened as supplies increased while a new production plant in Jilin province expanded output gradually. Hence, even as firm export demand resulted in a couple of producers with limited stocks halting price releases, overall lysine prices continued to fall over the week.

For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices fell to the range of RMB10.10-10.60/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1458 (Jan 8)
