China plans to sell 500,000 tonnes corn from state reserves
 

 

China plans to sell 500,000  tonnes of corn from state reserves Tuesday to stabilize market prices, the National Grain & Oil Trade Center said on Friday (January 4, 2008).

 

This is the fifth batch of corn China plans to sell after selling a total of 460,147 tonnes in the first four batches, or 23 percent of the 2 million tonnes it plans to sell.
