China imported 884,000 tonnes of milk powder from January to November last year
According to statistics released by the Chinese customs, China has imported a total of 884,000 tonnes of milk powder from January to November last year, an increase of 20.25% year-on-year. The imports amounted to US$4.312 billion, an increase of 44.09% year-on-year.
China imported 696,671.57 tonnes of milk powder from New Zealand from January to November last year which amounts for 78.81%, making New Zealand the top dairy products exporter. This is followed by 71,295.55 tonnes from the European Union, accounting for 8.06%; 48,846.94 tonnes from the United States, accounting for 5.53%; 32,027.95 tonnes from Australia, accounting for 3.62%.
The average price of imported milk powder from January to November last year is US$4,877.79 /tonne, an increase of 19.83% year-on-year.
