Vietnam's live black tiger shrimp export to China resumes
Vietnam's live black tiger shrimp exports to China are now permitted, after a ban imposed since October 2012.
Vietnamese authorities have guided exporters' inspection and certification procedures on consignments of live black tiger shrimp and live fish products exported to China under a new Health Certificate (HC).
Seafood exporters to China are now required to provide full information on farms or names of districts and provinces where fish was caught, in order to be granted a HC by local authorities.
Under China's requirement, other live farmed fish exported to the market must be sourced from farms which have been granted certifications.
