Vietnam Seafood Company To Build Factory in An Giang Province

Vietnam's Seafood Export and Import Joint Stock Company began construction of its frozen seafood factory in the southern province of An Giang last Thursday.

The VND80 billion (US$5.1 million) factory boasts a production capacity of 150 tonnes of raw seafood per day. The factory is scheduled to begin operation by end of 2004.

An Giang now hosts seven frozen seafood factories with a combined output of 50,000 tonnes per annum.
