Syria tenders for 25,000-50,000 tonnes of feed barley

Syria's Public Administration for Fodder Wednesday said it was tendering to buy between 25,000 and 50,000 tonnes of feed barley, of any origin, on a cost and freight basis or a free on board basis, for shipment in two stages.

The deadline for receiving offers is Jan 16 and the result will be announced Jan 17, a public administration official said.

The first shipment of 25,000 tonnes of barley is expected to arrive 30 days from the date of purchase, while the remaining 25,000 tonnes would arrive the following month.

Syria last tendered for barley Sep 5 when it asked for 100,000 tonnes but cancelled the tender stating that all the offers received had violated the financial conditions stipulated by the administration.
