New senior director of operations appointed for Cobb Asia-Pacific

Cobb has announced the promotion of Youngho Hong to senior director of operations for Cobb Asia-Pacific, overseeing the production and sales of Cobb breeding stock in the Philippines, China and New Zealand.

Hong joined Cobb in 2019 as director of technical service. In the role, he led a team of technical service experts in the Asia-Pacific region.

"Youngho has a proven track record as a team leader," said Roy Mutimer, vice president of Cobb Asia-Pacific and EMEA. "I am confident he will be a great asset in strengthening our operational excellence in his new role."

In his capacity, Hong will build on his extensive experience to lead and direct operations in key Asia-Pacific markets, further solidifying Cobb's position as a leader in the poultry industry.

Hong succeeds Orlando Fernandez, who retired at the end of December last year after 20 years of dedicated service to the company. Fernandez served as head of operations for the past three years.

"On behalf of Cobb, we are grateful for Orlando's leadership. He will be missed by Cobb team members and the industry at large," said Mutimer.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Hong said: "I am excited to lead the operations team. I have witnessed excellent teamwork, innovation and resilience at Cobb, and I will serve this team to the best of my ability going forward."

Hong, a graduate of Konkuk University's College of Veterinary Medicine in South Korea, brings over 23 years of poultry experience to his new role. A wealth of knowledge and commitment to excellence position him as a key driver in Cobb's continued success in the Asia-Pacific region, Cobb said.
