Kazakhstan's grain production to be average in 2012
Taking the rising trend in the level and efficiency of cultivation of grain crops into consideration, the general grain production in Kazakhstan for 2012 will be average.
The severe drought of 2010 was replaced by rather favourable 2011, which is in accordance with the dominating regional scenario of interchange of anomaly weather seasons.
The current sowing areas will save the same level (16.3 million ha) the grain general production in Kazakhstan in 2012 is expected at the level of 21±3 million tonnes.
The usual variations of the grain average yield in Kazakhstan total 2-2.5 times, for example in 2010 general grain production totalled 12.2 million tonnes, 2011 - nearly 29 million tonnes. This causes the essential volatility of the export potential of the grain: 2010 at six million tonnes, 2011 is 15 million tonnes (estimation).
