Cobb Philippines celebrates 20-year anniversary

Cobb Philippines celebrated its 20th anniversary on December 11.

The milestone event commemorated two decades of continuous growth, innovation and unwavering commitment to excellence in poultry breeding, Cobb said.

Established in 1988 as Breeder Master Inc., a joint venture between Vitarich Corporation (Philippines) and Cobb-Vantress, Inc. (CVI), the company has undergone a transformative journey over the years. In 2003, Cobb-Vantress acquired the shares from Vitarich, consolidating its position as a wholly owned subsidiary.

Since 2003, Cobb has continued to invest in the Philippines poultry market by expanding hatchery capacity by nearly 300%. Parent stock production has increased by almost 500% and there has been exponential growth in workforce of more than three times.

Roy Mutimer, vice president of EMEA and Asia-Pacific at Cobb, said at the celebration ceremony: "It is my absolute honour to welcome our distinguished guests, who have contributed to the success of Cobb Philippines in the last 20 years. We count on your continued support in the coming years as we continue to grow our business in this market."

The company has been a key player in the Philippine poultry industry, specialising in the production and sale of Cobb500 breeding stock, the preferred choice in the market.

Dr. Esmi San Pedro, general manager of Cobb Philippines, said: "This is not just about celebrating milestones, it's about expressing our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of our journey. Your support, trust, and collaboration have been essential to our success. I would like also to thank our team members who went above and beyond to achieve our operational goals. I have full confidence that this team can lead the company to a whole new level."
