Taiwan allows JBS Swift to resume exports
Taiwan recently relisted Colorado-based JBS Swift to resume exports this year, according to USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
FSIS reported that Swift products with a date of slaughter, manufacture or packing on or after December 19, 2007 and a bill of lading date on or after December 24, 2007 could now be exported to Taiwan.
In late November and early December of 2007, the Taiwanese government discovered bone chips in JBS-Swift beef shipments, triggering the suspension of imports from the plant.
