Brazil to stop China cutting soybean imports
Brazil's government wants to prevent China limiting its soybean imports, Brazilian foreign minister Celso Amorim was quoted saying on China's Ministry of Commerce website.
The above came in the light of news that China has been planning to curb imports of Brazilian soybeans in 2007.
Brazil's soy exports to China increased by 57 percent from the previous year in the first 11 months of 2006, the statement said, citing Brazilian government data.
China blocked some shipments of soybeans from Brazil in 2004 for food safety reasons.
