Slack demand, excess supply weaken China lysine prices
 
 
Lysine prices slid further during the week ending December 30.

As soymeal prices continued to fall while livestock market remained soft, lysine demand failed to pick up during the week in review. Producers eagerly slashed prices to entice buyers but in vain.
 
Average transacted price fell by RMB0.10/kg.
 
Lysine prices are expected to drop further in the coming period.
